Make it easier for people to refer you with email introductions.
One of the easiest and best ways to refer or be referred these days is via an ‘email introduction’.
Every business owner should have a templated ‘email introduction’ that just takes a minute to tweak with the personal details. Not just to use when referring, but (and this is important!) to give to your clients, customers, and referral partners to use when they refer you.
Most ‘email introductions’ we’ve seen aren’t compelling, so why leave it to chance and hope that the person who refers you does a good job. Not to mention, they’re more likely to actually make the referral if it’s easy for them.
So, if someone mentions they have someone to refer to you, offer to make their life easier by sending them a template and they can just fill in the gaps.
Better still, send it to all your clients, customers, and referral partners in advance, and tell them it’s a resource to make it easy if they come across someone who could benefit from your services.
